LIQUID EMULSION ON RICE PAPER (2017)

This installation consists of 8 images shot on film in Japan, during Winter of 2016. This was one year after my grandfather had passed; thus the formation, materials used and intention all refer back to my own journey in processing his death. The capsule suspended in the center of the unclosed circle of images, contains a small amount of my grandfather’s ashes.

FABRIC ILLUSIONS

It is becoming a signature initiative to present my photographs as an illusive photographic installation involving inkjet prints on sheer organza silk fabric, moving from a two dimensional visual expression to three dimensional in challenging yet again, an aspect of the essential role of perspective. The way I choose to hang them on also brings the element of movement, as it sways with any draft or person passing by pushing the standard still image to one with dimensional organic motion.
